PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The sloping 3.5-acre site at Henderson Hall Marine Base fronts onto Arlington National Cemetery. The site is organized around a pedestrian walkway that extends the existing circulation system and aligns with the Cemetery’s stone wall. The massing of the 84,000 square foot facility is brought into human scale by articulating the primary program elements: USMC multipurpose facility, NMAA corporate headquarters, 300 seat base theater, structured parking. The project obtained design approval from the National Capital Planning Commission.
