SAINT PETER'S IN THE WOODS, FAIRFAX STATION, VA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Mostly unchanged since it was originally built in 1985, the church includes a sanctuary originally designed as an interim multipurpose room.   Almost forty years later it serves as the permanent worship space.  

 

The design transforms the existing sanctuary into a more worshipful environment with improvements to lighting, acoustics, audio-visual systems and finishes.  A two story addition includes a prayer room, designed as a meditative space for 12 with floor to ceiling glass, providing a strong connection to the surrounding natural setting.
